The (admittedly) wet dream of every concert booker, the fascination of a surprisingly wide audience and most likely the inspiration of future generations of artists, his self-titled debut album has gotten all the love it deserves. When Röyksopp dropped Senior last year, as a follow-up to the much acclaimed Junior, it didn't give that bang that some of us had hoped for. We're gonna sum up every month with a top list of the best track posted during the last month. January has forced us to pick ten, and we hope to be able to keep that up all through the year!

Choosing a number one, though, was not that tough. These boys were right on the money with this one, and Classixx took something beautiful and put it way up in the clouds. It makes me wish I could go back to the late 80's and hit up any given high school prom Prince style. Fuck me, it would have been sweet. But in all honestly, I'm deeply thankful for just the song!

Our dear friend Petter Seander had a solid 2010 with both a solo album and tour plus touring with Kristian Anttila. No time for rest, though, and towards the end of last year his upcoming album was starting to reach it's final shape. The first track has moved from the upbeat indie pop sounds we're used to, to a darker, fateful touch. This is legit synth-pop, reminding you slightly of Cut Copy and that can't be bad, right? As far as we know Diadem is their first release, and judging by the photo they're barely out of kindergarten. In other words, talents to look for in the future!
